Ocjoy is an all-in-one at-home oral care device designed to combine brushing, water flossing, and air polishing in one system. Inspired by the principles of professional Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), it is designed to help users clean tooth surfaces, along the gumline, and hard-to-reach areas more efficiently as part of their daily oral care routine.

Air polishing uses a controlled stream of air, water, and fine polishing powder to help remove plaque/biofilm and certain extrinsic surface stains from teeth. The technology is inspired by professional dental air-polishing systems but has been adapted by Ocjoy for convenient at-home oral care.

Ocjoy’s air-polishing system is specifically designed for at-home use, with controlled powder, water, and air delivery as well as built-in pressure protection. Product safety and performance are being evaluated and validated as part of our development and testing process. We will share supporting test results and applicable certifications as they become available. Ocjoy should always be used according to the instructions provided.

A toothbrush primarily relies on mechanical brushing to clean accessible tooth surfaces. Ocjoy combines brushing with water flossing and air polishing, allowing it to address both tooth surfaces and areas that can be difficult to reach with brushing alone, such as interdental spaces and areas along the gumline. It is designed as a more comprehensive daily oral care system rather than simply another electric toothbrush.

A conventional water flosser primarily uses a pressurized stream of water to flush debris from between teeth and around the gumline. Ocjoy goes further by integrating brushing, water flossing, and air polishing. The air-polishing function uses a controlled combination of air, water, and fine powder to help disrupt biofilm and remove certain surface stains.

Ocjoy is designed to make cleaning around orthodontic appliances easier, including areas around brackets, wires, and other places that can be difficult to reach with a regular toothbrush. If you wear removable clear aligners, remove them before cleaning your teeth unless otherwise instructed. If you have specific orthodontic or dental conditions, consult your dentist or orthodontist before use.

Ocjoy is designed with user comfort in mind. Users with sensitive gums should begin with the gentlest available setting and avoid directing or pressing the nozzle against soft tissue. Temporary sensitivity may vary from person to person. If you experience persistent pain, significant bleeding, swelling, or other unusual discomfort, stop using the device and consult a dental professional.

Ocjoy is designed to fit into a regular home oral care routine. Recommended frequency, operating mode, and session duration should follow the final user instructions for each function. Different functions may have different recommended frequencies, so users should not assume that every function needs to be used every time they brush.

No home oral care device can guarantee complete removal of all plaque in every user. Ocjoy is designed to help disrupt and remove plaque/biofilm from tooth surfaces, interdental spaces, and areas along the gumline. Results depend on factors such as technique, oral anatomy, frequency of use, and existing dental conditions. Regular dental examinations and professional cleaning are still recommended.

Ocjoy’s air-polishing function is designed to help remove certain extrinsic surface stains, including stains associated with coffee, tea, and tobacco. It uses a controlled stream of air, water, and fine polishing powder to gently clean the tooth surface. It is intended for surface stains and does not bleach or change the natural internal color of the teeth. Results will vary depending on the type and severity of staining.

Ocjoy mitigates this risk through a combination of structural safeguards, pressure protection, and usage guidance. The nozzle uses an anti-sealing design to help prevent sustained pressure from building up if it is accidentally placed too close to or pressed against the gums or other soft tissues. The device also incorporates overpressure protection. If abnormal pressure is detected, powder, water, and air output will stop, while pressure can be released through the nozzle and a separate pressure-relief outlet. Users must follow the instructions, avoid pressing the nozzle against oral tissue, and never direct it toward wounds or soft tissue. If pain, bleeding, swelling, or significant discomfort occurs, discontinue use and seek appropriate medical or dental advice.

Ocjoy is designed for convenient home use with straightforward controls and guided operating modes. Once the appropriate mode is selected, users can follow the recommended cleaning sequence in the user guide. Detailed instructions and usage guidance will also be provided to help first-time users become familiar with the device.

Because Ocjoy uses air, water, and mechanical components, some operating sound is normal, especially while the air-polishing function is running. Noise performance is being optimized during product development. Final measured noise specifications will be published once production validation is complete.

Ocjoy is currently progressing through product development, engineering validation, testing, and manufacturing preparation. We are continuing to optimize performance, reliability, safety, and the user experience before mass production. Production and testing updates will be shared with backers as we move toward shipment.

The package will include the Ocjoy main device and the accessories and consumables required to get started, including the relevant cleaning attachments/nozzles and an initial supply of air-polishing powder. The final accessory list and quantities will be confirmed on the Kickstarter campaign page before shipping.

As with any new hardware product, the timeline may be affected by final validation, certification, mass production, and international logistics. We will provide backers with regular production and shipping updates.

We plan to offer worldwide shipping, subject to local regulations, carrier availability, and any restrictions applicable to specific destinations. Final supported destinations will be displayed during checkout.

Our planned worldwide shipping fee is US$10. For orders shipped to the United States and European Union, no additional import duties are expected to be charged to customers under our planned fulfillment arrangement. For other countries and regions, customs duties, VAT, or other taxes may apply according to local laws and regulations and may be the customer’s responsibility.
